Privacy Policy

HopeHub collects only the information needed to operate the directory, review submissions and keep community information useful.

Information we collect

When you create an account, HopeHub may receive your name, email address and basic profile information from the sign-in provider.

When you submit a resource, volunteer opportunity, correction or message, we collect the information you enter into the form.

Cloudflare, Firebase and other infrastructure providers may also process basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, timestamps and security logs.

How we use information

  • Operate and secure HopeHub.
  • Authenticate users and administrators.
  • Review, publish, correct or remove listings.
  • Respond to questions, reports and suspected misuse.
  • Diagnose technical problems and improve the service.

Public submissions

HopeHub is a public directory. Information submitted for a resource, volunteer opportunity or correction may become publicly visible after moderation.

Please do not submit private personal information that should not appear in a public listing.

Service providers

HopeHub uses Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, and Cloudflare for hosting, delivery and security. These providers may process information as needed to operate their services.

Cookies and browser storage

HopeHub and its service providers may use cookies or browser storage to keep users signed in, remember preferences, prevent abuse and support essential site features.

Sharing and sale of information

HopeHub does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers, published when submitted for a public listing, or disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the service and its users.

Retention and corrections

Information may be retained as long as needed to operate the service, preserve moderation history, resolve disputes and prevent abuse. Community members may submit corrections to inaccurate listings.

Security

HopeHub uses reasonable safeguards, but no website or database can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use care when deciding what information to submit.

External websites

HopeHub may link to websites operated by other organizations. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as HopeHub changes. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are published.
